Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is obtained by polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer. PVC replaces traditional building products such as iron and wood as windows, doors, shutters, water pipes, walls and roofing materials in the building sector due to its cheapness and technical advantages. In addition, it is used in many applications that replace rubber such as electrical cable insulation. Its density is 1.4 g / cm³. It can be easily colored. Its tensile strength is 140-240 kg / cm². It is not affected by open air and has almost no water absorption. Its electrical insulation feature is good.

PVC is generally classified in 2 categories :

Suspension S-PVC
Emulsion E-PVC
